An underground copper mine consisting of three shafts located near Boston Location. The St. Mary’s Mineral Land Company was organized in 1860 to explore the Pewabic Lode which crossed the property. In 1863, three shafts were sunk into the Mesnard Epidote Vein with some copper being recovered. By 1864, the mine was closed and was later sold to the Copper Range Company in 1892. No records of copper shipped from the mine has been found. Today there is a small rock pile; however, the land is on private property and permission must be obtained before entering. Some copper in epidote can be found.
