An iron mine started in 1891 and shipping between 1895 and 1903. Works were open pit before going underground. Early owners were Corrigan, McKinney and Co., followed by Crystal Falls Iron Co. in 1900. This mine is often confused with the Lot 3 mine, which was also known as Crystal Falls.
The property description is E1/2-NE Sec. 21 T43N-R32W, which is the 80 acres between N46º6'31", N46º6'57", W88º18'18", and W88º18'36".
