Ref.: The Iron Mines of New Jersey (1910):355; NJ State Geol. Annual Rpts.: (1868):602-603; (1873):66; (1879):71. An iron mine located 1 mile West of Berhshire valley. Started 1868. Workings included a shaft and several small openings. Ore vein was 6 feet (2 meters) wide but was about half rock.
