An iron mine in magnetite ore located on the road between Succasunna and Mt Freedom, about 1.5 miles NW of Ironia (Calais). Started & closed before 1868, reopened 1868 and closed 1873. Ore was in 3 narrow veins. Workings featured 4 shafts (deepest = 100 feet (30 meters).
