Stratiform manganese deposit which is bound to the metamorphosed Early Paleozoic black shale of the Gemericum Superunit. Sedimentary-diagenetic accumulation was overlapped by association of the metamorphic minerals due to the Hercynian metamorphism.
Old Hungarian name is Feketebánya or Roszty.
