Hunt farm explorations
An Fe occurrence/prospect/mine located 1 mile NE of Schooleys Mountain, on private land Started 1874 and closed 1879. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is a Fe deposit of magnetite ore. Local rocks include biotite-quartz-feldspar gneiss.
Workings include surface and underground openings.
Produced 30 tons of ore from several pits.
