Ref.: The Iron Mines of New Jersey (1910), Bayley:354; NJ State Geol. Annual Rpts.: (1879):71; (1880):112 & 125; (1883):127; (1905):320. An iron mine in magnetite ore located on a hill about 1 mile NW of Ledgewood. Started 1879 and closed early 1880, reopened 1905. Ore shoot was 6 to 12 feet (2 to 4 meters) wide. Workings featured a 50 foot deep shaft.
