Veins and stockworks in adularized andesite and rhyolite. Gold associates with minor Ag-sulphosalts, pyrite, marcasite, quartz and chalcedony. Early superficial mining of rich supergene ores. Mineralization extends to depths of 50–150 m.
Old German name is Königsberg.
