Ref.: NJ State Geologist Annual Rpt. (1906):153-154. A copper mine in fault breccia (6 inches to 2 feet thick), located ½ mile North of the Menlo Park neighborhood, now a part of Edison, NJ. Started about 1784, restarted 1812, 1827 and 1880's. Finally worked 1903 by Thomas Alva Edison near his Menlo Park laboratory. Featured a 120 foot deep shaft.
