Ref.: The Iron Mines of New Jersey (1910), Bayley:448; NJ State Geol. Annual Rpt. (1868):551. An iron mine in magnetite ore located about ½ mile SE of the railroad station, Dover. Ore vein was 4 feet wide. Workings featured 2 shafts (about 1859) to 120 feet deep.
