Ref.: The Iron Mines of New Jersey (1910), Bayley: 349-350; NJ State Geol. Annual Rpts.: (1873):58-59; (1878):99-100; (1879):69; (1880):111; (1883):126. An iron mine in magnetite ore located on the eastern side of Schooleys Mtn about 1 mile North of Naughright. Started 1870 and closed about 1871, then closed again 1879 and worked 1883. Two ore veins (NW = 8 feet wide; SE = 20 inches to 4 feet thick). Workings featured 2 shafts (SE = 140 feet deep on the slope; NW = 30 feet deep).
