An iron mine in magnetite ore located West of Pompton Station in present day Riverdale. Started 1872, closed 1874 but reopened 1880 and finally closed 1906. Ore vein was 9 feet 93 meters) wide. Workings featured 2 shafts (1906) with one 100 feet deep.
