An iron mine in magnetite ore located near the New York state line along the Warwick (NY) to Greenwood Lake Road (present day Upper Greenwood Lake area). Started 1875 and closed 1879. Reopened 1880. Ore deposit was 5 veins about 5 feet wide (end of drift stripping. Ore vein also described as 12 to 38 (4 to 12 meters) wide. Workings were 8 pits and crosscuts. Produced an estimated total of 2,200 tons ore.
