Forêt de Katzenthal, Lembach, Bas-Rhin, Alsace, France
Ancient lead mines, dating back to the 18th(?) century, working a series of ENE-WSW trending veins hosted by sandstones. The eastern sections of these veins were explored by the mines around Nothweiler, just across the German border.
