A Cu occurrence with underground workings located in sec. 6, T8S, R19E, 2 miles NNE of Copper Creek, near the Pinal County line.
Mineralization is hosted in the Galiuro Volcanics Andesite. The ore zone strikes N65E and dips 85SE. Purplish red fine-grained vesicular porphyritic olivine andesite is cut by fractures and mineralized in the brecciated area. Several quartz veins less than 1 inch (1.5 cm) cut the andesite. Copper minerals occurs as films on surfaces in the fault zone; some supergene minerals occur in open spaces. Ore control was fracture surfaces and fault breccia. Ore concentration was supergene enrichment.
Area structures include vertical faults, block faulting trending NNW. Regional trends: minor Pre-Cretaceous E- and NE-trending folds and major Post-Cretaceous NNW-trending faults. Late Tertiary uplift and faulting.
Workings are 18.29 meters deep. Probably no production.
