A diatomite occurrence located in sec. 26, T1N, R18E, about 2.5 miles NNE of San Carlos. Discovered by Eugene Case in 1950.

Mineralization is lacustrine diatomite. Diatomite is interbedded with limestone. In Skeleton Wash, these interbedded units form a cliff about 20 feet high on the west bank of the wash. The diatomaceous beds can be traced discontinuously northward for about 600 feet and are approximately horizontal. To the south of the outcrop, the beds are cut off by a northerly-trending fault.
