Lys Valley, sometimes also indicated as Gressonay Valley, is a valley on the left side of the River Dora Baltea, from Pont-Saint-Martin to the Liskamm or Lyskamm (the 8th highest mountain in the Alps). It is drained by the Lys stream (Torrente Lys).
The name of the valley in Walser German is Walleschu at Gressoney-Saint-Jean and Gressoney-La-TrinitΓ©, where the form known as Gressoneytitsch or simply Titsch is spoken, and Walludu at Issime, where the form locally called TΓΆitschu is spoken.
