Corchia mining district can be defined as mixed sulphides (mostly Cu-bearing) ore deposit, set into Cretaceous ophiolites and therefore strictly related to underwater hydrothermal activity (oceanic crust).
It has been exploited for chalcopyrite ore bodies.
