Fanny Mine, Kruth, Thur valley (Thann valley), Haut-Rhin, Alsace, France

Quartz-siderite veins carrying copper and cobalt ores (mainly skutterudite), located in the Runsch valley NE of Kruth. The Fanny mine, owned by the "Sächsisches Blaufarbwerk Consortium", worked the veins for cobalt from 1902 to 1905. Today, only an adit driven in 1957 by the french geological and mining research office is still accessible.
