An Fe occurrence/prospect located in secs. 7, 8 & 18, T10N, R14E, about ½ mile SE of the Haigler Canyon Campgrounds, and about 8 air miles N of Young, on National Forest land. Claims extend into secs. 7, 8 & 19.
Mineralization is a replacement deposit with an irregular ore body hosted in Mescal Limestone. The ore zone is 1609.3 meters long, 15.24 meters wide, striking NW-SE and dipping 20NE. An associated rock unit is diabase.
A character sample of hematite contained 54.0% Fe, 0.1% Mn, 0.3% titania, 0.03% P, 0.08% S, and 21.4% Si.
