Ancient copper mines, working stratiform impregnations of copper minerals in Permian (Saxonian) arkoses. The mines, probably started in mediaeval times, had their heyday in the 16th century and were re-worked for a short period of time in the early 17th century.
Located 2 km west of Saulcy-sur-Meurthe and about 7 km SSW of Saint Dié.
