Verde Village - S of, Cottonwood, Black Hills District, Black Hills (Black Hill Range), Yavapai Co., Arizona, USA

Collecting area just south of the Census-designated place (unincorporated town) of Cottonwood-Verde Village. Cottonwood-Verde Village shares a common boundry with the city of Cottonwood, Arizona. Most commonly called "The Verde Villages" or "The Units", as the area sustains 8 residential units.

The collecting area is located just south of the Verde Village, just inside the Prescott National Forest boundry, and on either side of Highway 260.

Geology consists mostly of iron-bearing minerals. The area is grooved by many washes, all of which start outside the collecting area at the base of Mingus Mountain, and head east to the Verde River. The washes are lined with caliche cliffs.
