Cave di Beura, Beura-Cardezza, Val d'Ossola, Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, Piemonte, Italia
This locality incorporates numerous quarries (not all active) for the extraction of gneiss.
The names of the most important ones are the following: Maddalena quarry, Restellini quarry and Zacra quarry.
Note on the mineral list: All "apatite" from Beura quarries (elongated or not) is hydroxylapatite (see Besana et al., 1997, and subsequent literature).
