Summit, Union Co., New Jersey, USA
NOTE: These recorded occurrences are questionable. The majority, if not nearly all, of them may actually be occurrences in the Commonwealth set of historical quarries which were actually located in adjacent Springfield Township. Since the city of Summit lies atop the first Watchung Mountain and there were typical excavations to install municipal infrastructure and to accomodate the foundations of structures, it is possible that any number of mineral species could have been encountered in the Watchung Basalt within the city limits; however, specific data in this regard are not available at this time.
