A prominent summit on the eastern bank of the Hudson River, opposite Bear Mountain.
Note: The northern slopes of Anthony's Nose are actually in neighboring Putnam county, and this includes the Phillip's Pyrite Mine, which is a few meters over the county line, in Putnam, although some historical references/labels ascribe it to the nearest urban center (Peekskill, in Westchester Co.).
