Nos. 249-250, magnetic Iron Deposits of SE NY, Clarke, John M. (Sep-Oct 1921): 46-47 & 115-117. An iron mine in magnetite ore located about 1¼ miles West of Oscawana Corners. Ore vein was 3 feet (1 meter) thick. Workings comprised a series of pits and a 200 foot long open cut plus a shaft. Reopened 1880 and closed 1881.
