A large, presently (2008) inactive anhydrite quarry, owned by the 'Harzer Anhydrit-Werke' which is part of the Wildgruber Group.
Located near Niedersachswerfen in the southeastern Harz mountains, 6 km NNW of Nordhausen and 3 km SW of Ilfeld.

Known for the occurrence of several rare borates.
