An iron mine in magnetite ore connected underground with the Mc Collum Mine, and thereafter collectively known as the Croton Magnetic Iron-ore Mines. Located about 2½ miles SW of Brewster. Started about 1880. Workings went ot a depth of 160 feet below the adit level (1889).
