In syenite gneiss.
A pit was opened for corundum in lot 31, concession I, Radcliffe township,
on the farm of John Phanenhour. The pit is 50 feet east of the boundary
between lots 30 and 31 and 1,800 feet north of the south boundary of the lot. The pit is 40 by 55 feet and 11 feet deep. Strippings and shallow pitting extend north and south, 20 and 35 feet, respectively, from the pit.(ARV53)
