Large-scale gold deposit, hosted in Archean granulite, hypersthene granite and tonalite that are intruded by the NE-trending Mesozoic Zhuanxianghu quartz diorite. The deposit consists of gold-bearing quartz veins controlled by faults. There are two types of ore bodies, quartz-pyrite and quartz-base metallic sulphide types, and four stages of mineralization, namely (1) quarz vein, (2) base metallic sulphides, (3) fine galena and (4) micro-veinlets. The deposit is interpreted as a magmatic-hydrothermal deposit formed during the Mesozoic.
