Medium-scale granitoid-related vein-type gold deposit, consisting of several tens of gold-bearing quartz veins hosted in NE-striking faults within the Haigou granodiorite (a component of the huge Huangnihe granitic batholith). Four depositional stages occur: (1) sulphide-poor quartz vein, (2) gold-sulphide, (3) sulphide-poor gold-uraninite, and (4) quartz-carbonate. Alteration is divided into three stages: (1) silica alteration-alkalic metasomatic stage, (2) silica-sericite-chlorite-pyrite alteration stage, and (3) chlorite and carbonate alteration stage.
This deposit is related to the Jiapigou ore field in neighbouring Huadian County.
