Baiyinnuo Pb-Zn-(Ag) deposit, West Ujimqin Banner, Xilin Gol (Xilinguole) League, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, China

Large-scale Zn-Pb-(Ag-Cu-W) skarn, located in the central part of the Huanggangliang-Wulanhaote polymetallic belt. The deposit occurs in a secondary anticline of the Sifangcheng-Bayinwula anticlinorium. Northeast-striking faults control the formation and distribution of the deposit and the igneous intrusions. The strata consist of Early Permian low-grade metamorphic rocks and late Jurassic siliceous and intermediate volcanic rocks. The Early Permian strata host most of the deposit; they are composed of sandy slate, carbonate, and pelitic slate, and occur in the central and southeast parts of the associated district. The Yanshannian granitoids consist of granodiorite, granodioritic porphyry, quartz syenite porphyry, and granite porphyry. The deposit occurs mainly in skarn along a contact zone between the granodioritic porphyry and the country rocks.
