Copper-polymetallic deposit, hosted in a fault belt in the southern margin of the Altay Mountains and controlled by intrusions of the Yuemakeqi mafic-ultramafic complex distributing along the belt. The latter mainly consist of gabbro, gabbro-diabase, pyroxenite and olivine pyroxenite. The orebodies are hosted in gabbro-diabase; they are stratiform, trend EW and dip south at an angle of 60° to 85°. The deposit is interpreted as having been formed by magmatic differentiation.
