Florida Chrysoprase? Locality, Florida, Berkshire Co., Massachusetts, USA
Lost: Reported as "East of Hoosac Mountain summit." - May actually be an ultramafic tectonic sliver talc-serpentine deposit that has been mis-identified. The mineral present may therefor be antigorite or amesite -not "quartz var. chrysoprase." (You would think that someone might have done a simple scratch test to find if the hardness was in either the 2 1/2 to 6 range or tested 7.)Mineral List
