North Viking deposit, Avebury Nickel Deposits, Zeehan district, Tasmania, Australia

Small nickel sulphide deposit associated with serpentinites and mafic hornfels in the thermal aureole of the Devonian Heemskirk Granite intrusion.
Underground workings have been established in 2007 ('Viking decline'). Full production is expected to commence in February 2008.
