Cochise County lies in the extreme Southeastern corner of Arizona. It contains several important mining districts but the most significant are the Warren District, centered on Bisbee, and the Tombstone District, centered on Tombstone. Prospecting in this county was delayed due to the existence of Indian reservations; however, once the ice was broken, the bonanza began! Cochise county is an important mining area for silver, copper, gold and tungsten.
