Ambatoarina, Ambositra District, Amoron'i Mania Region, Fianarantsoa Province, Madagascar

The now discredited mineral "ambatoarinite" was described from this locality. The mineralisation occured in pegmatitelike veins in a metamorphic limestone in contact with quartzite. In 1958, the locality consisted of 3 large boulders of a marble rock in an area with a diameter of 5-6 m. Behier (1958) was not able to find any traces of ambatoarinite in the materiale he collected at the site in 1958.
Map-coordinates are x= 621,380 Y= 466,520.
