Maria-Teresa Mine, Huari, Avaroa Province, Oruro Department, Bolivia

A tin mine located at 4,800 metres elevation, near Huari between Oruro & Uyuni.
("Berndtite" and "ottemannite" are reported from here, and alleged fragments widely distributed in species collections, but these specimens were originally sold as herzenbergite, appear to consist mainly of pyrite, pehaps with minor herzenbergite, and no ottemanite or berndtite is visible.)
The Maria Teresa mine is NOT the type locality of anything except herzenbergite, notwithstanding literature errors to the contrary.)
