Androy Region, Tuléar Province (Toliara), Madagascar

Faritra Androy, Faritanin' i Toliary, Madagasikara

Androy refers today to the area and the administrative region west of the river Mandrare and east of the Manambovo river.
The name "l'Androy Mandraréen" is used on old maps and in elder, mostly french mineralogical litterature as a designation on the area east of the Mandrare river; this area belongs today to the Amboasary Dsitrict in the Anosy region, see http://www.mindat.org/loc-58234.html and most not be confused with the "Androy Region".
