Kornerupine locality, Imanombo Commune, Ambovombe-Atsimo Department, Androy Region, Tuléar (Toliara) Province, Madagascar

(Kaominina Imanombo,Departementa Ambovombe-Atsimo, Faritra Androy, Faritany Toliary, Madagasikara)

Locality situated 2 km south of the small town Imanombo and 37 km SE of Beraketa in the southern part of Madagascar. A corsegrained kornerupine-bearing pocket (50 cm across)was found in phlogopite bearing diopsidites bordered by garnet-sillimanite-cordierite gneiss belonging to the Beraketa belt.
