Mauney Mine (Ozark Mine), Prairie Creek complex, Murfreesboro, Pike Co., Arkansas, USA

Ref.: Rocks & Min.: 10:10; 63:115; Bolivar (1982). A diamond mine in weathered diamondiferous lamproite (peridotite). Located 2½ miles SSE of Murfreesboro. Discovered in 1906 and worked 1907 to 1940. Reopened 1952 to 1972. Owned by the Kimberlite Mining and Washing Co. until 1972, then a state park open to public collecting.
