Tilkerode (Abberode), Harz, Sachsen-Anhalt, Deutschland
Mining for iron (hematite) (in the 18th and 19th century) occurred in two districts:
1. The main district, often called the Eine-district (because the water adit goes to the Eine river). Selenides are much rarer here than in the second district.
2. The new district, better known as the Eskaborner district, named after the hill "Eskaborner Berg" (it's not a mistake: Eska..., not Eske...). This is the main locality for the selenide paragenesis. All minerals listed below are found here, some of them in the main district as well.
