(Planitz, Zwickau, Sachsen, Deutschland)
In Planitz near Zwickau a coal seam burned from 1476 and was finally not extinguished before 1860. Ernst August Geitner started in 1479 a green house with tropical plants above the known Planitz fire zone and was possible the first in using energy from coal fires commercially.
