A stone deposit/quarry located 3.1 km (1.9 miles) E of the hamlet of Avon in the town of Avon.

Active quarry in Ordovician carbonate rocks. Shows of galena, sphalerite and marcasite mineralization, likely a fringe deposit of the Upper Mississippi Valley zinc-lead district were noted in 1968 in the quarry and nearby drill cores. The show is sometimes referred to as the "Avon lead-zinc occurrence".
