Main Resource is Educational Circular No. 2 "Minerals and Gemstones of Nebraska". State is primarily Cretaceous and younger sedimentary rocks. Some material brought in by glaciers from the north on the erastern side of the state and by erosion from Wyoming (Also ash falls from volcanoes to the west).
