Located north of Schwandorf, between Schwarzenfeld and Nabburg.

Mining started in the 15th century or earlier. At the beginning, lead ore was mined. Extraction of fluorite started in the 19th and 20th centuries.
The last mine was closed in 1987 (Hermine mine).
