AKA North Wheal Friendship and Prince Arthur Consols. A Lead silver mine on the western edge of Dartmoor which closed in 1877 and has the only standing engine house, at Job's shaft, remaining on the moor. This was nearly lost in 1954 when the Army was given permission to demolish it to make good on their earlier poor effort at nearby Wheal Friendship. It was saved by the intervention of A.K. Hamilton Jenkin and others and is now a national trust property.
