Manganese deposit, Ilfeld, Nordhausen, Harz, Thuringia, Germany

Famous classic Mn deposit which produced excellent manganite and pyrolusite (best specimens in old collections).
Located in the southeastern Harz mountains, about 8 km north of Nordhausen.
Note: Protected area - collecting is strictly forbidden.
