Small deposit with mineralized 2 to 6 m thick impregnation zone in rhyolites and rhyolite tuffs of the Werfen series with variegated oxidation zone. Rare primary ores are tennantite, chalcopyrite, bornite and chalcocite. Classic locality of rare arsenates of copper, especially euchroite and tyrolite.
Mined in the 19th century; re-studied by exploration work in 1959-1960.
Located around 4 km NE of Poniky (12 km E of Banská Bystrica).
