The Natalka deposit and town are located just West of Omchak. To date, Natalka has produced 75 tons (2.4 million ounces) of Au and 22 tons (707,315 oz) of Ag. The deposit contains an additional 450 tons (14.5 million oz) of Au. The deposit has linear stockworks consisting of veinlets, of which 50% are less than 5 mm (0.2 in.) wide. Ore emplacement was controlled by several deep-seated pre-ore (Mesozoic) faults. Mineralizing fluids were derived from Late Jurassic-Early Cretaceous granitoid massifs that intruded the Permian-period sedimentary host rocks. The ore field covers a 40 sq km (15.5 sq. mile) area. It is up to 600 meters (1,970 feet) wide and is open below the 450 meter (1,476 foot) level. The ore top is at 1000 meters (3,281 feet). The workings are underground cut-and-fill methods. Access is by several adits that connect with 2 shafts.
